Effective date: 19 June 2026
Bint OS (“Bint”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects the privacy of every
person who uses our products. This policy explains what we collect,
how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
Account information you give us when you sign up: name, email,
phone number, organisation name, country, currency, business type.
Workspace data you create inside Bint: clients, leads, deals,
invoices, projects, tasks, messages, files, and any other content
you choose to put in the platform.
Channel data you connect: WhatsApp messages exchanged via the
Cloud API, Facebook / Instagram / LinkedIn inbound messages, Gmail
or custom-email messages you choose to sync. We only access what you
authorise via OAuth or by configuring a credential.
Usage data automatically generated: IP address, browser type,
pages visited, actions taken, timestamps. We use this to keep the
service running, secure, and fast.
Cookies that are necessary for sign-in, session keep-alive, and
preference storage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use it
- Provide and improve the Bint OS service
- Send transactional and onboarding emails (password reset, billing
notices, welcome drip) - Detect abuse, fraud and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations (tax fiscalisation, court orders)
We do not sell your data to advertisers and we do not train
public foundation models on your workspace content.
3. Meta platform data (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram)
When you connect a WhatsApp Business number, Facebook page, or
Instagram account via the Meta APIs, we receive the messages and
profile fields you authorise. We use this strictly to deliver Bint’s
inbox, copilot, and automation features for your organisation.
We do not redistribute Meta platform data to third parties beyond
sub-processors that help us run the service (see section 5).
You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the integration
at /automation/integrations/ or by removing the Bint app from the
relevant Meta platform.
4. How we share it
We share information only:
- With sub-processors that help us host, monitor and ship the
service (cloud hosting, transactional email, payment gateways,
observability)
- With integration providers you connect (Meta / Google /
payment gateways) — limited to what’s necessary for that
integration to work
- When required by law — court order, valid subpoena, tax
authority demand
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition,
asset sale) — your data remains protected by this policy
5. Where we host data
Primary hosting is in our cloud region of record (rotating between
Africa-South / EU-Central / US-East as we scale). Backups are
encrypted and held for 30 days.
6. How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active, plus 90 days after closure
for backup recovery. You can request earlier deletion by writing
to privacy@bint.io.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time:
- Self-serve: most data is editable inside the app
- Bulk export: write to privacy@bint.io
- Deletion: write to privacy@bint.io — we honour deletion within 30
days unless retention is required by law
EU/UK residents may also lodge complaints with their data
protection authority.
8. Security
We encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access
to production systems is role-gated, MFA-enforced, and audited.
Reports of security issues are welcome at security@bint.io.
9. Children
Bint OS is a business productivity tool and is not directed at
children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We post a changelog at the top of this page and email account
owners about material changes at least 14 days before they take
effect.
